Don't Shoot The Dog
Karen Pryor
This book is very good. It is easy to read and very informative. If you want to read about training, as far as I can tell this is THE book to read. Despite the title, the book isn't really about dogs. It is about training using positive reinforcement. If you're only going to read one book, this is the book to get. Despite the title the book isn't about training dogs.

What Shamu Taught Me About Life, Love, and Marriage
Amy Sutherland
I really enjoyed reading this book. The author is a delightful storyteller. While the content doesn't go into a lot of depth, the stories and anecdotes make this book worth reading. My wife loved this book.

Bringing Out The Best In People
Aubrey C. Daniels
I found this book challenging to read, others have really liked it. The content and concepts presented in the book are solid, though the author does use somewhat different terminology. This is the oldest of the books on the list. If you like 1980's and 1990's business coaching type books, then you will like this one.

First Course in Applied Behavior Analysis
Paul Chance
This is a very unusual textbook. Unlike the other titles on this list, this is an academic book. It is very dense. I like the organization of the book and once I got used to it, I enjoyed the technique employed by the author to bring the materials more 'to life'. If you are serious about learing the concepts of behavioral psycholoogy, you'll want to read this book a few times.

Walden Two
B. F. Skinner
Published in 1948 this book describes a utopian community as envisioned by B. F. Skinner. I found it fascinating to learn 'first hand' from Mr. Skinner what he thought would be an ideal community for us human-type animals. The book is somewhat dated.

You Don't Say
Karen Pryor
You Don't Say, is a game created by Karen Pryor to help teach the concepts of Positive Reinforcement, Shaping and Chaining. It is a very simple game to play and quite challenging to master. I've played it many dozens of times and it continues to be educational and fun.
